St George's Playgroup
Children are cared for within a bright, vibrant, and caring setting. We have a broad range of resources to support their learning and a secure outdoor area. We believe children learn through play. We plan a well-balanced curriculum around the childrens interests and through activities such as pirates, musical instruments, the Bear Hunt.
We encourage the children to have a healthy understanding of food through nutritious snacks, cookery and play.
We develop the children's knowledge of the wider world by celebrating a range of festivals throughout the year.
Parents are informed about upcoming activities through our communication app called dojo. Information about activities and any other notices will be available to view through the communication app.
We have the recognised HEALTHY SETTING AWARD and the INCLUSION FRIENDLY AWARD.
Our group is a registered charity, managed by an elected committee of parents.
A committee of parents manage our group, and we ask all parents to give serious thought to joining the committee. The committee meets between 3 and 6 times a year to make decisions about fundraising, fees, staffing and running the group. We are always looking to recruit new committee members, so please let us know if interested.
